Wuurn Of Kanak has hit its first goal of $200,000!!!
We humbly thank each and every person for believing, supporting and donating.
We want to give a special shout out to one amazing woman who made a generous deposit last week bringing us to our first goal.
Our quite although strong journey behind the scenes of Wuurn Of Kanak during lockdown in so called melbourne has only highlighted the necessary call for Landback initiatives.
5km radius lockdown allowed us to focus on our local natives in and around Yarra river and Merri Creek, beautiful strips of bush line the cultural flows that was once the catered many fish, animals and plants now extinct and only exist in the dreaming not forgotten by us but celebrated through the descendants of Woi Wurrung language holders.
We respectfully acknowledge the original peoples of the land we live, learn and play, for us it is the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin nations.
